"Like, such as..."

McCain shook, can't even look at Obama. Disrespectful old man.

In some ways this whole political atmosphere right now reminds me of theatre, and we have yet to find out if the piece is a tragedy or a comedy. Srsly though, Sarah Palin? An African-American President(Morgan Freeman Deep Impact style) in a nation where 'white-privilege' is alive, well, and unchallenged? And now, with this bailout plan, the government's using taxpayer money to buy-out major corporations, major banks and acquiring shares of failing corporations in a capitalistic society(which is NAGL really, considering the trickle-down brand of capitalism got us in this mess anyways). I'm thinkin Jack Valenti had a hand in this production, post mortem.

Throwback:Talking Heads-"Don't Worry About the Government"

And just cause:Talking Heads-"Burning Down the House(Alternate version)"

In closing, I think everyone should write haiku. It's a great form of expression and can be very entertaining. As well, even for the non-creative types it can promote creativity. Besides it has a very basic structure, 3 lines/5-7-5 ( syllables ). For more help.

whoa

Hugo Chavez killed it at the U.N. Summit. transcript.

Oh Hai Guise!1

I need too get a Mooninite chain myself.

Pharoahe Monch-"Simon Says"

"We smoke while we flip the bird."

Dope.

but here's a quick mix if anyone's gettin there weekend started early.

DJ Tameil-'Where is Debonair Samir?'

BTW, the Federal Reserve sucks. Soon they're gonna own most of the major corps/banks in the US. It wouldn't be as bad if the Fed was owned by the actual government, but its not. It's privately owned by a bunch of devil-worshiping honkies.

Umm

Wow.

So the economy is

getting worse and worse. I don't know if your into watchin stocks and stuff, but in case you are then you'd know that the Dow fell like 500 points this morning(crazy). Oil today was priced at $94 a barrel, but I doubt drivers will be benefiting from that. As well the world stock markets are doing extremely poorly if not worse than ours. Pray for rain people.

In times like these, some good house dubs help(i think), Especially Masters At Work.
St. Etienne-"Only Love Can Break Your Heart(MAW Dub)"

Hardrive-"Deep Inside(Original mix)"

And here's a Paul Johnson dub, the bridge on this is a million.
Paul Johnson-"She Got Me On(Dub mix)"

Dub- a mix of music with emphasis on drums and bass.

P.S.- if it matters, M.I.A. just released her clothing line.

is the 7th anniversary of the Sept 11th WTC attacks. And although its a beautiful day out and the temperature and air is mild, deep deep inside, I feel mad as hell, and I'd be surprised if most Americans aren't. I turned on the tv this morning and there was a memorial service being broadcast from "ground zero," and I found myself fighting back tears. Not just tears of sadness from hearing the names read out by family members, but tears of anger. Strangely enough the anger that I felt is not even directed toward the 'terrorists' who I'm told perpetrated these acts, but towards the government that has continually lied to us and given us half truths. There's so many smoking guns in the story surrounding September 11th it's sickening. We gotta stop letting them hoodwink us.

then there's this...

In

true Cam'ron form, here's new track
Cam'ron-"Bottom of the Pussy Hole"
This song just laughable really, and with this song I smell a comeback(no-pun intended), or it could just be the stench.

andd ummm what?? reinvention????
Kanye West-"LoveLockdown"
I don't know who Kanye is fooling. He could be onto something with the singin(if he could sing). But this sounds like it was recorded in a shower, wtf? However even with all its downsides, I can see why the album is titled "808's & Heartbreak". I somewhat dig the minimal 808/drumcorps approach and am curious to see what the rest of the album will yield. As of now(until a better version is released), this is a FAIL.

I promise this is good.

Frighteningly true.

in other news.
Max B.-"Live Comfortable"
wavey

She gotta switch positions, like a diplomat.

Sega just remixed this rave track by Le Le and its pretty dope.

Le Le-Breakfast(DJ Sega remix)

I'm not really that much into pop culture(i think), but the VMA's had to be the worst shit I've ever watched, ever. Did anyone noticed how the whole room was filled with like 50+ year old dudes? On another note most of the performances were terrible, except for Wayne(surprisingly), Kanye, and I'll add Rihanna to this list cause she's bangin. Secondly, it wasn't even in a theatre like a traditional show would be, don't know about you but I'd rather watch someone perform on a stage instead of watching there terrible showmanship(acting/singing included) on a huge screen as its taking place in a backlot set that looks nothing like the NYC street its replicated as. And whats up with the kids bum-rushing the stage effect, thats corny and only happened to the Beatles(and in That Thing You Do). Furthermore, why the fuck isn't Britney Spears watching her kids? Fuck giving her an award, but 3? One award would have been enough and then she could've have accepted live via sattelite, bitch makes me sick. Her music's terrible, only thing she has going for her is 1. she's white, 2. she's got a body(her face is sorta doofy), 3. she's a hick(cause Americans like reall down home type folks right?)She can dance too i guess, but without hair to have in her face her level of skill would be divided in two(like most white girls right?) nah im joshin. Russell Brand was pretty funny, in his English style of comedy btw. Yea but all in all, the show was terrible. Done.

oh and btw, Ye's album is gonna be all singing? Crazy, expect alot of Antares(Autotune).
Kayne West-"Love Lockdown"

A little...

of bossa nova helps on indoor evenings.

Joao Gilberto-"Coisa Mais Linda"

The one thing I do love about rain however is the fact that is sorta cleanses everything, and washes the earth out. As well water, much like its physical property, helps you reflect and I need some reflection. Don't we all though?

what the fuck?

I'm not really into primetime network television, nor am I into american muscle cars. But damn, they really fucked up on the new Knight Rider car. The fucks up with that rear spoiler? Dudes need to get real, that spoiler single-handedly ruined the whole car. The new theme song is trash as well, think of Disturbed doing a shitty cover as an intro to a bad concert. The whole show is garbage, guaranteed.

ride out
Knight Rider Theme Song (1982) -

Sux, all this media pundit shit is a game, on both sides. And in that clip the right side gets called on their bluff. They're all rotten.

Skream-"Rottan"
:-)
88-Keys tracks in a previous post, but I might as well post his mixtape up too. He's got an album coming out soon(co-produced by Kanye) and this mixtape was released early this summer as a lead up to the album. Guests on the mixtape include Kid Cudi, Grafh, and Fonsworth Bentley. And look for "The Death of Adam" in October.

88-Keys-'Adam's Case Files'
(you should cop this)

one of my fav tracks of his
Mos Def-"Love"
(also check Blackstar's "Thieves in the Night"44 bar verse on that by mos)

oh and to sum up Sarah Palin(pregnant daughter and all)...

The first black president..

Richard Pryor foreshadowed this in his short-lived sketch comedy series in 1977. Let's see how accurate he was.
of artists before her like Feist and Regina Spektor, who successfully channeled many genres while creating a clean simplistic sound, Swede Lykke Li(lickey-lee) could be on to something. Here's two of her tracks off her album Youth Novels.

Lykkee Li-"Dance, Dance, Dance"

Lykke Li-"Let it Fall"

and in case anyone cares

Travis Barker & DJ AM put out a mixtape. Free d/l.
